that's cause you don't post much.
remember when goat posted like 20 times a day?i used to come home to pages of arguments and discussions it was cool.now i post every couple of weeks,so i am also part of the problem. :?

It's alright, I only post about once every 6 months - April was my last visit!

I still think of this place as my home on the internet, though. Highschool years out into the big wide world of university life, and you lot were here (wherever that may be) for it all. :D

@ Ärväthyyll Yoga is terrifying, but not because of evil spirits (unless you count the farting guy)! I tried it once and thought I'd kill myself at least twice falling over. I have an acquaintance who is convinced that yoga is death worship because of the dead body pose at the end. I'm not sure how her obsession with the whole crucifixion thing isn't focusing on death :? , but what do I know?

On a happier mindless note, they are lighting up the Christmas lights outside my apartment tomorrow. As dumb as it is, I love those things.

Oh dear. They should answer legally for this, Church or not. If they persuade people to stop taking their medication and they then die; or pass the disease to other people - that's basically a type of murder.

But one thing about the victims I don't understand: if they were told they were cured, why didn't they go to their doctor to check if it's true?

My acquaintance is deep into alternative everything and she was told by some healer that nobody is actually allergic to nuts, but to pesticides on them. Which may as well be true, I don't know, but you can't tell people with high allergy to nuts to just buy a bag of them from a different manufacturer and it'll be al-right - like she seems to be doing. :x

And when at nuts-allergies, a funny story: on a plane to Stockholm last year we were told at the beginning (on the radio) that we have a passenger on the plane who is highly allergic to peanuts, so we shouldn't eat anything peanutty as even the smell can trigger the reaction. No problem, but then the flight attendant came by with her trolley and it smelled so heavily of peanuts that we all just started looking at each-other baffled. I'm still not sure if they were making fun of us :)
One beer to rule them all.
One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

There are times when the blame should be placed equally on the adherents to a given religion as much as on the religion itself, it must be said. First example that comes to mind is the Catholic church's teaching on evolution. Pope John Paul II declared that the Catholic faith was compatible with theories of evolution, yet there are so many Catholics out there who do not pay attention to the theology of their own religion, and remain ignorant of this fact. Partial blame lies with parish priests for not updating their own teachings given to their congregation, but there is no reason that the average lay person can't do a bit of reading about their own religion.

For interest's sake, here is the declaration that evolution and creation are compatible:

In Hungary TV fortune-tellers and ordinary fortune-tellers milk them. Especially the poorest unschooled ones. People are not too religious over here thank to the 40 years of socialism.

says something about human nature-socialism bans religion, but people still need something to cling to to keep away their fears.

Randy: Have you ever tried Marijuana?
Stan: No.
Randy: Well, maybe it's time.
Still to this day
I can hear the whistle blow
I can smell the sage burn
I may be as old and stubborn as a pine
But I am just as wild as the young.
