A thread where we could post interesting news and the discussion thereof?

We can have fights about politics and what not. Good fun.

Naw, just thought we could talk about the volcano.

Interesting site, shows how many planes are up in the air: http://www.flightradar24.com/

Only Turkey, Spain and Greece seem to allow flights. We had clearance for flights in Norrland yesterday, but I guess that turned to shit.

Here are some webcams from the volcano: http://eldgos.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull-fra-valahnjuk/ , http://eldgos.mila.is/eyjafjallajokull- ... olfsfelli/
They might be hard to reach due to massive bandwidth pressure.

I love it haha.
I've been watching newsclips about it the past half hour.

Ok, it might be a bit disturbing, since half of the bands aren't able to reach a festival over here in the Netherlands..
But I love the fact that mother nature is showing stupid humanity how powerfull she is :D

In case this lasts for a long time, well.. none of the bands I want to watch this summer are from across the atlantic. Except Motörhead.

I've been watching the webcams and a large thread about it (linking to all kinds of pictures and news) on a Swedish forum for the past few days. It's very active, they even talked about a horse running by the webcam for about 3 pages. I'm so excited!

Catastrophiliac, that's me.

Skygge, guy, does it smell like shit at your place?

The Finnish airforce tries to fly despite ash, engines get fucked up: http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/20 ... canic.html

Also saw a picture somewhere portraying volcanic lightning, that looked downright satanic! Here's an example from a volcano in Chile:

I am not a fan of that volcano, my aunties stuck in Portugal and my mums all worried, and i may have to take care of my cousin, which shouldnt be that bad but shes an angsty teenager who wont talk and when she does is fairly rude.

there is a chaos in spanish airports but the good thing about it is people forget the awful crisis. I don't know how is going on in other countries but here the crisis is getting worse and worse.

A friend of mine can't go on his trip to Peru as planned - he's gonna be stuck in Germany until at least Wednesday. "Fortunately", I do not even have permission to go on holidays until June :D
Still to this day
I can hear the whistle blow
I can smell the sage burn
I may be as old and stubborn as a pine
But I am just as wild as the young.
