Glad you guys are OK. Were you staying with your relatives?

Only in Slovenia:
Important legal case about our political leaders and possible corruption when buying army equipment from Finland just started. And was interrupted and will be hard to continue for now, because somebody can't afford 14.000 EUR worth of document translations from Finnish to Slovene. Seriously? That's what holds our important court cases back? Lack of money for translations? I sometimes wonder how we survived these 20 years.

nope-other way around.we emptied the fridge and cooked it all on the grill before it went bad.fun for awhile, then not so much.

10th anniversary of sept 11 is this weekend,as usual new york is in lock down mode and the trains and bridges are scrutinized.I don't expect the world to feel the way we do here, the japanese and haitions i'm sure still have tons of their own shit to deal with, but it always depresses me,the whole week and what happened,i hate it.
and this year my son works retail 3 blocks from the footprint of the north tower and its always in the back of mine and the wifes minds that if something happens he will be in the area.
i hate this week.

A friend of mine who is an old metalhead (40+) has been wearing a Memphis Three T-shirt probably since it began, and now that it's kind of over he released the desperate threads clinging onto each other for dear life from service. Framed and put up on the wall.

In other news, local insane man Torbjörn Holmlund's plans for building the largest moose-shaped building in all of Sweden (perhaps even the world!) has, against all sense and reason, had success after many years of struggle.

With zealous hellfire burning in his deep-set eyes, he, with the help of cultist carpenters and warlock architects, presented the prototype sections that will make up the building.

largest moose-shaped building?! There are others??

As for Setember11, it meant a lot to us as well, along with 7/7. But while the remembrance silences went ahead, there were the disruptive Muslim elements who exercised their 'right' to free speech and staged their own protests. It is not in the interests of peace to allow total freedom of speech, and some people need to realise this....

In our news (UK): We're totally fucked, because it's going to snow from October to May next year or something and we don't have enough salt.
I might be able to get those huskies and sled I always wanted

And as every year, officials of every town in Europe will be unprepared, caught off guard.

Last week, our government fell. Basically they were voted out by the parliament. So now we'll have elections this year to fix this and regular ones next year. Throwing money out the window ... I don't know what to vote anyway. They're all crooked bastards.

After the Greek drama and the Italian comedy forint got weaker than ever, so the Hungarian gothic horror called "Economic Freedom Fight or Hungary Does Without EU and IMF" is over. Orbán and Matolcsy have entered into negotiations with the IMF. Thank the Gods! Forint is getting stronger.
The bad things are that our government has become ridiculous and we'll have to pay the price of the 18 months of being stupid.
