Oops, and I forgot about our other problem politician: Németh Lászlóné, minister for national development. Our government refused to publish her exact curriculum vitae which caused a little scandal. We're eager to know why did they do that. On the government's homepage you can read: "Qualifications: specialisation in foreign trade". What kind of school is that or what does it mean? If I dig up the garden, can I add "specialisation in agricultural science" to my CV? But at least she didn't buy a fake diploma.

Something else: UK government has refused to say that Christians have a right to wear a cross openly at work. It means employers can ban wearing it. I think it's a little ironic. Christians always tell people how to live. Now they are told what not to wear.

His parents were poor, so he couldn't attend to school, he had to work instead. Finally he finished elementary school in night-school when he was about 25. By that time he published tons of writings and he was considered to be a very talented guy, so he was allowed to sit for a university entrance examination.

That's a good thing - and legal. But he still had to do the entrance examination - here we don't have that (some colleges do, but his didn't, the points for entering a college are taken from our highschool results and from matriculation exams. So he got in completely illegally.

Hehe, we have an important person (some politics-related-chief-of-something) with this as well :D Seems like finding school-cheaters is popular lately :)

Stats heard today on media sourcee - 8-10,000 people, according to activists, have been slaughtered to date in Syria. Russia blocks because they want a warm water port and China blocks because they get oil.

There is something seriously wrong with this situation. Maybe it comes from my being an American and we love sticking our noses in other people's affairs, but shouldn't something be done? There is clear evidence of crimes against humanity and nothing is happening. This just reaffirms my theory that the UN is nothing but a committee of old farts arguing about life...sounds eerily like the American Congress. The world is in need of a serious generational change asap.

Hihi, epic quote ;)

I've got a feeling that a lot gets done if there is something in it for the folks who do the job. And the satisfaction of merely helping innocent people isn't the payment they're looking for. But then again this could only be my pessimism.

As for here, government decided to save up more money. They started by cancelling two public holidays. They didn't decide NOT to buy a very expensive vehicle and computer equipment.

Next step seems to be to lower the government funding for jobless people to encourage them to get a job. This is bullshit. We're a nation with 115.000 unemployment and ATM around 1500 official job offers on the market. There are always some not so opened ones (given to people with the right connections), estimated around 4000 or so, so tell me: How do you fit 115.000 unemployed people into 5.500 jobs? F***. (And I'm not even funded by government.)

Oh, and this Sunday we have an expensive referendum coming up. To vote for the new family law which would actually admit gays and single parents with children are families too. I presume the conservatives will win this one and keep their "traditional family".

our Tories are apaprently all about the 'traditional' family, and even promised tax breaks for married couples. Nothing about it was said in yesterday's Robin Cunt budget. Plenty of tax breaks for their rich cronies though - everyone else will just have to tighten our belts. As if they're not tight enough already - no pay rise for me for 3 years, in effect a pay cut, not to mention the pensions issue.
They're fucking kidding themselves if they think they're getting away with this one - I hope they enjoy the rest of their term because there won't be a second one.

Not that Labour was any better. One body three heads - that's all our (3 main) political parties are.

Our president has become a part of English slang:
ScHmITt hits the fan: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ScHmITt%20hits%20the%20fan
Piece of ScHmITt: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Piece%20of%20ScHmITt
I don't know if I should be proud of it.

Hihi, epic quote. :p

But I do agree. There has to be some interest involved for the big players. It is quite sad that saving lives isn't cause enough.

I'm getting pretty bored with this, but: our president isn't doctor anymore. But he is still our president. Our public TV aired an interview tonight in which he was speaking about 10 million tons of bullshit. Briefly: he did not plagiarize his thesis, he wrote it, his thesis is very useful and valuable and he doesn't understand what is this all about. He could sue those people who claim that he plagiarized, but he won't. It doesn't matter that he's 70, he's going to write a new thesis (?!).
I guess he won't resign then.

He still denies plagiarizing, but he resigned yesterday. I'm curious what happens now. Will our Parliament manage to elect an honest president? Or our prime minister will get another trained pet?
