Fires in our metro system are becoming more and more frequent. Budapest Transport Company gave the metro personnel gas-masks to protect them from carbon monoxide and smoke poisoning. But there are no gas-masks for the passengers. It is said that women find those men who love danger quite impressing, so I think I should tell every woman I meet that I travel by metro almost every day.

Anti-homosexuality law (which puts pedophilia and homosexuality on the same level) in St. Petersburg just came into force. The rest of Russia is supposed to follow soon. Congrats Mr. Putin, for leading your country towards a glorious, enlightened and tolerant future (after seeing to it that Stalin is glorified as a wonderful benefactor for all russian people in school's history lessons, this was the next logical thing to do).

Perhaps this is intended as a solution to their staggeringly low (negative?) birth rate???

Typical Russian solution. These are the people who used their slaves to drag huge barges across land, from river to river, instead of building canals. Cruelty is the best means to an ideal out East.

Hahahaha. Maybe it is my black humor, but this response is of extreme quality. ;) The rest of the population will probably just die from aids via un-protected hetero lovins. Maybe he feels that aids will disappear with the gays.

Russia is a very interesting country. I am personally looking forward to the 2012 Olympics in Sochi. It is Russia's time to shine for the world stage as we have not seen for a long time.

Unknown hackers deleted the content of the blog of a Hungarian radical group and they put this picture there:

Stalin would be happy to hear that someone calls him Persian lover. They say he was an ugly pock-marked dwarf. So the nice couple are Hitler and Stalin. I think the only meaning of this picture is to troll Nazis.

I guess I could have said the guy with the child molester mustache. Really never would have thought that to be Stalin.

Apparently Britain and Spain are experiencing a double dip recession. This just happened to pop up on Fareed Zakaria's show 'GPS' on Sunday. I am wondering why there is not more daily news about this here, and it's implications, especially considering our trade relationship with mostly Britain, though we do have a healthy trade relationship with Spain as well. According to one website:

'The major goods exported by Spain are shoes and other leather items, iron and steel products, electrical goods, refined products from petroleum, machinery and motor vehicles. Around 33% of the exports are comprised of agricultural commodities which include canned and fresh vegetables, citrus fruits, wines, canned fish and live oil. The principal imports by Spain to other countries are petroleum and basic chemicals, machinery and equipment and food products such as coffee and tea.'

And I do so love some of that 33% Spanish cuisine. Alma, does this mean I won't get one of your grandfathers lovely Iberian porkers on a spit when I visit? ;)

Oh yeah, Fareed also mentioned something about Germany having lower economic growth numbers in the coming years, not to mention the unknowns concerning Greece and any other nations currently dependent upon Germany's support, like the entire EU. lol. Oh the ironies of history when only 70 some odd years ago the world hated damn near everything German. Now Germany has to hold everyone together. HEIL MUTTI MERKEL!!!
