I am annoyed by media often. If your team does a good job, they are the kings/gods/whatever. But when they make a mistake or play a not too good game, press can be really rude and unfair. Feel sorry for him too!

Oh yeah, vuvuzele ... i fucking hate them. They make the whole atmosphere of a crowded stadium, full of fans cheering dissapear and only the buzz of a godzilla bee remains. :/ And they are really dangerous for hearing - with 30.000 people (and a few less vuvuzels) they make in average so much noise that a grown person can endure only for 15 minutes before they get hearing injury. At least that's what the magazine about this WC says (awesome magazine, in Slovene though). The stadium itself reaches the noise od 140 decibel, that's as much as a plane during the flight. Effing awesome for the players and all around them, eh? Playing in that noise for min. 90 minutes. Word is out they will ban them, i really hope they will. I don't know anyone that can stand them. Bah.

Some more OT: When it comes to mixing up Slovenia and Slovaka. Once, i can't remember which sport it was, probably athletic, our contestant won, she was first. Got the medal, got the flowers, blah blah, national anthem - Slovakia. She held our flag up high, but i doubt anyone even noticed. I think you can't go more 'epic fail' than that when it comes to mixing our countries. :)

Being even more OT: I'm really pissed off at some Slovenians right now. You know what they're bitching about? Our game not being good enough. Excuse me? We WON a game at THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! For the first effing time in history! And now their game wasn't on? Gimme a break. Seriously. It's like, for some people nothing is good enough. Ever. It's not like Argentina or France played a good match. As long as they've won, in the first matches, isn't that all that matters? Our guys were nervous as hell, they're a young team, it was their first game of this calibre, and OF COURSE they were a bit lost at the beginning. But appearantly that's all that some of our people can see. Fuck the score and the goal and three points. They lost a ball here and there, that's all that matters for them.

There's a Slovenian magazine about WC? (You have to admit this shortening is funny :D)

As for your third paragraph - it's just Slovenian national character, don't worry about it. Our most true and most painful stereotype: By all means, don't say anything good about anything. Criticize. Possibly with no deeper argument than "they're politically on the wrong side" even if politics is light years away. "They're incapable morons and I could do better" is common argument number two. If it's not the score, it's the way they scored. Who cares?

I love that Croatian joke that goes "So young, but already Slovenian." You know it's sad but true! ;)

Germany ruled yesterday. I Really enjoyed watching that game. Always will be a tournament team, I guess :D
Also watched some of the Slovenian game - it was boring, but not as bad as the match japan - KAerun today. OMFG. I actually like the Team from Japan, but this was just...wrong!
Netherlands against Denmark today was boring too, and I can't stand ORANJE (nevermind the country ;) ), so that pissed me off as well. All in all - rather lame start for a championship.
Still to this day

Indeed, most teams played really lame games, even France, Argentina and England. And Kamerun-Japan that was almost ridiculous... and the comments of Günther Netzer and Gerard Delling in German TV about that game - I was laughing my ass off.

The best performance IMO (except our boys) was South Corea (against Greece).

I agree, pretty boring and weird cup so far. Most goals coming from goof-ups . And as a Dutchie I hate to say it, but you Krauts rocked against Aus. Is the best game so far.

I am happy because before the cup many people said our team is a "kindergarden" because they are so young. Lets see how it will go on.

Portugal wasn't a real pleasure either I think. Looking forward to Brasil and Spain now....

I lol'd when i heared that Portugal didn't manage to win today, because I had made a bet with exactly that result only an hour earlier. My reason for betting they'd play 0:0 was mainly that it seems more and more to me that the teams don't want to win - and there we go. If the same thing happens with Brazil and the "Democratic Republic of Korea" today I'll start going to betting shops and earn a fucking fortune!

I was just about to say that ... The grand Brazil can't easily beat North Korea? I like it, to be honest.
