Do you mean Munster or Muenster (Münster), cause if you wanna go to Munster it's easier to fly to Bremen, Hamburg or Hannover. In case it is Münster flying to D-Dorf is ok.

Sorry, Muenster. I was too lazy to copy/paste the umlaut. ;) Apparently its only a 60+km train ride from Ddorf.

Great: Found some really good discounts on tickets through a student website thingy. Thanks to both of you though.

Sweet, isn't he? Not a fucking clue about the beast called Deutsche Bahn...

I might actually be in Praha for a long weekend during June. So if you're there then (and I Think that this was your plan) we both know what needs to be done.

I rode a shitty bus(smell and quality) 7-10 hours multiple times from Virginia Beach to New York City. I am 6'4"(183cm) and ANY seat will be more comfortable than the fucking bus. Furthermore, I have my laptop and music. I will probably drink lots of gutes Bier, play Medieval Total War, and wait to unleash the fury on Deutschland!!!

I was actually thinking of arriving the week of the 15th, probably the 11th but I am waiting for some money so I can buy the ticket.

I wasn't talking about the seats :P
It's common for trains of Deutsche Bahn to be late so one can't get the connecting train and has to wait for 1-2 hours then, also trains get skipped quite often... Several times when i had to go by train it stopped in the middle of nowhere or didn't even leave the staion for hours, nobody was able (or willing) to tell the reason.

The streetparty takes place from 15th - 17th of june ...

So IF you happen to be unfortunate, you can tell them something like: "Fucking Deutsche Bahn Cunts, sänk yu for trävelling my ass, I have been warned about you!" :D

@Zwerg: We'll see about Straßenfest - I'll talk it through with some friends.

Ahh, I thought you were talking about a long ride or something. Hopefully things will turn out well. I'll do my best. I have had luck in the past when traveling. This will be the test of fate: DEUTSCHE BAHN ODER TOT!!! :P

Good: My new passport just arrived, and it is all perrrrty n' stuff.
Good: Found some decent prices on tickets.
Good: I almost can't believe this is happening...so excited, words are not enough to explain.

You up there above my post, when in Europe, give me a wink wink nudge nudge. Coffee (can be beer for you) some place, some time!

Good: I entered a six weeks schooling program (funded by the superministry) about e-education (why make virtual classrooms, how to calculate the usage, what are the options of them etc.). I signed in sort of just because I had nothing to do, but now I like the idea. And everything is better than sitting at home idly.
Good: We need to do a project and since I'm the only unemployed bastard there, my hands are free in what kind of project I can do (others are expected to do stuff that is related to their work, although it's not mandatory). And I came up with a very unconventional topic.
Bad: This and some other self-class I'm attending are taking away virtually all of my time.
Good: At least this keeps my mind away from worrying about the future.
One beer to rule them all.
One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

Bad: Band rehearsal has been canceled due to Mr. Drummer having to shoot guns.
Good: Workmate offered me his seat at a whisky-tasting - for free. He can't make it but has to pay now anyway. I was offered a seat earlier but didn't take it because it was a minimum fee of 25€. :)

Yes ma'am. I am pretty sure by this point some are annoyed with my constant updates on travel plans, BUT...

GREAT: Just bought my ticket today. Arriving in Germany 12 June @10:50.
Good/Bad: I will be forced to bust my figurative cherry on the Deutsche Bahn von viel Terror.
Good: There is always music and beer to keep me company. (i will have to keep my mouth shut for a while since the going stereotype of loud and ignorant Americans will precede me :D
