Already covered it, have ya? :D

Heh :D
I had an idea in mind, that I could cover Under Bergets Rot, as it's on Utube, but I think I wait for the proper version and start anyways doing more careful work.

And, it's exactly like En Mäktig Här's climax :D

Me too! But I found it here. Man they play it too slow and quite...wobbly. :D At about 1:38 you can hear what you will hear at the end of the "promotional" video I did if you want to compare. ;)

Blah, you are horribly wrong. There is no masterpiece, or will ever be. :D

But seriously, wouldn´t you get quite bored if we did four Jaktens Tids in a row? At least we´d become afwully weary, thus we try to evolve all the time. It´s always a double- edged sword with these things- if the band makes the same album over and over again they become "boring", "repetitive" and "insult for fans" (unless you play in Bolt Thrower :D) but if they evolve and constantly mold their sound, they become "old stuff was better, they should quit and form a new band with this shit", "wtf happened to this band lol" and "insult for fans". I´d feel like a village idiot in Emperor´s new clothes composing the same album over and over again. Or what do you think?

Well, I gotta disappoint you then. :( There is quite a bunch of fast- paced stuff (hell, we actually start the album with blastbeats :D ) but it´s more "darker" and maybe a bit "cartoony" or "evil" than the more melodic Jaktens Tid- stuff was. The part which was mentioned sounding like Korpiklaani (hihi) is propably the only part with that distinct "traditional Finntroll sound". All in all, this album is much more varied song- wise, has a strong percussive approach and takes a shitload of inspiration on all wicked and crooked, shamelessly flirting with a kazillion musical genres yet still having a sturdy (black) metal approach.

About the album in general- here´s my 0.2 € on that matter...
Now when it´s 100% ready, I personally find this album to be the weirdest we´ve ever done, and somehow the strongest image in my head is a 2000 BC Scandinavian jungle (!!!) where the ancient Trolls have gone undead a´la Corpse Bride- underworldesque, partying like hell and playing music with instruments made of enemy bones. :D Skeletons, pointy ears, cannibalism, sheer mushroom madness, old crooked gods and figures....fire, chanting and total fucking warfare. (There´s quite bunch of "war- ish" orchestral arrangements every here and there and I´d say this is quite an aggressive- sounding album in general).

Tim Burton meets World of Warcraft would be quite a description, I tell you. :D

Sounds really nice and is also very curious about how it will sound! But, you guys have'nt dissapoint me so far, so the chanse is quite big that I will be totally muted about what i hear.

Seeing forward to it! :D

I love this new sound. Reminds me very much of Rareware games.

Thing is, I completely agree with you. My ranting about wanting Jaktens Tid again mainly roots in the fear of another Nattfödd. It's not like I didn't like it when it came out, only I had a feeling that back then your music had taken a more chewing-gum-ish turn. I thought "shit, they go all beer and tits metal like Turisas or Ensiferum do." The reason would have been the suddenly widely acceptable sound of a song like "Trollhammaren". Suddently every dick knew that song shouting along to it with a beer in hand, and when questioned, turns out it's about the only thing they knew about finntroll. I found this so disgusting that those people were completely ignorant shits treating this band like your average, at best mediocre "Viking Metal" band out there, thinking this new humppa thing and mythology was nothing than another reason to get more beer. This by the way happened to Korpiklaani too after "Tales..." Only that they liked it and stopped evolving at that point. This whole turn of events affected my feelings towards your third album. It is strange, actually. I'm not musically educated enough to look upon an album and analyze it technically like you would. For me, wether I like an album or not, totally depends on the whole picture, the general feeling it evokes in me when I listen to it. Thus, it's a completely personal thing when I say this one is better than the other. So basically, the "scene" ruined it for me with their ignorant misinterpretation (or at least "different" interpretation than mine, who am I to say I know it all  ), not you guys. Stupid maybe, but this is how it is. To sum up your work personally, Midnattens for me was your "Transilvanian Hunger" ;) , Jaktens the Masterpiece that gave me everything I wanted to hear in an album, Nattfödd ruined, see above, and Ur Jordens Djup was a step away from that again, I especially loved to hear people say how finntroll has gone shit since this one is lacking drinking songs, being too dark to party to, all that. They now listen to "Svartsot" and stuff like that. Good luck. but the album for me had some kind of up and down feel. Some songs had little in them for me, while others just blasted me away. So seeing you evolving is fantastic, and I cant wait for the new output. Everything points to getting an album again that will be a blast from beginning to end. Thus I'm getting a new Jaktens Tid anyway, even if the musical approach is completely different! Yeah! :D
