Indeed! I was also upset that there wasn't a listing of who played what instruments and vocals, though for all I know it could be in there, I just can't read the damned font!

Anyway, there's a great vast riff which made it evident

I think Trollhorn said in the studio diary that everyone had a try on all sorts of different parts while recording (idk if those parts made it to the discs), so would it make sense to have a list of everyone playing guitar etc.? :P

I proclaim Fornfamnad as Warcraft- grimash. Even if it isn't, I don't care. It has the best marching rhythm all the way through. I discovered that today in a very practical situation.
Not to mention that furious kazoo armies need their war.
One beer to rule them all.
One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

Your proclaim claims you ten internets, m´lady.

It´s really the "symphonic instrumental"- part in the middle of the song (and the 6-7 second part which leads into it) that makes it "Warcraft- y"- it´s remiscenent of the style of Warcraft II - soundtrack, hence the name. The original worktitle was "Grimash.mp3" when I got the main and verse riffs from Routa (the rest is my work on that tune), and as we were so used to call it Grimash but it wasn´t just "Grimash" anymore so it became "Warcraftgrimash". :D

PS: Where the heck I said Trädens to be "Emperor"? Yeah, obviously it is right, just wondering.
It´s really the second riff (the one which starts with a lonely guitar) that gave me the the name...although it´s not ofc stolen from Emperor, it has a strong "Wrath of the Tyrant"- vibe all over it. That combined with the "main riff" which has pizzicato strings on the background and it screams bloody Ihsahn on the top of it. :D

PPS: Tiden utan Tid was wrong, obviously was Blodmarsch (it was called "Lolwtfconan" as you could spot from the mastered cd- cover, remember? ;) but thus far Boingo, Emperor, Warcraftgrimash (as explained now) and Kummitus have been called. Good work! ^^

You wrote you were mixing Emperor and the acoustic one and then gave a video of mixing I trädens sång.

Yeey, I won 10 internets! From a completely wrong explanation, but I did 8-)

Aallotar and I did some "calculating":

Any odds in this one: Mot skuggornas värld (Trollhorn, Tundra) -> SAMI-ricon? Satyricon ...

And I think everyone has figured out Arabi as well - Ett norrskensdåd, because of that tune at the beginning that then goes through the song too.

Could Dråp (instead of Laahaus) actually be Mikkihiiri because of that ra-ta-tatata-ta thing (screw my knowledge of musical terminology) towards the end? Not that I know any Mickey Mouse tune tho so it's pure pure guessing ... A couple of YouTube tunes went remotely ... very remotely in that direction.

That would leave Tiden utan Tid as Laahaus. Well, it's slower? ;)

Why is the word laahaus not in the Finnish-English dictionary?

(OK, enough of making a fool of myself.)

Because it's not so ordinary word, laahata could be there, but I myself have never heard anyone using the word 'laahaus' :D
EDIT:
Henri said, that they played “Julsagan”, “Boingo”, “Laahaus” and “Kummitus” to the journalists. And they played Solsagan, Den Frusna Munnen, Dråp and Under Bergets Rot.
"Music-Photocalypse.net attended a listening session for the upcoming FINNTROLL album on September 1, 2009 at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland. Several songs from the band's long-awaited new CD were played back to the media, including "Solsagan", "Den Frusna Munnen", "Dråp" and "Under Bergets Rot"."

So...?
