So DAMN IT!

:D
One beer to rule them all.
One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

The album really has a computer game music vibe in lots of parts :D Apart from Fornfamnad having a Warcraft II bit (one of the best game soundtracks ever, I think!), and Blodmarsch sounding Warcraft III-ish, I Trädens Sång has a Planescape: Torment vibe, Den Frusna Munnen could've been the heavy metal soundtrack for a Monkey Island game, and there's other adventure-game-like music on the album too.

Planescape Torment....well, actually, good point. Never thought about it that way :D Then again, I guess you can pretty much find everything you want if you dig deep enough.

Moar internets from Samiricon, good and accurate guess. Arabi was also right!
But about "Mikkihiiri"- you guys are propably not seeing (hearing) what we thought when it was given a working title, because of certain instrumentation and melodies beginning from the second (band- played) verse. More brooms? Ehh?

So that's about it. All the titles have been guessed. Big hand to Ärväthyyll and others :D

TrollhorN wrote:PS: Where the heck I said Trädens to be "Emperor"? Yeah, obviously it is right, just wondering.
It´s really the second riff (the one which starts with a lonely guitar) that gave me the the name...although it´s not ofc stolen from Emperor, it has a strong "Wrath of the Tyrant"- vibe all over it. That combined with the "main riff" which has pizzicato strings on the background and it screams bloody Ihsahn on the top of it. :D

The first thing I thought when I heard that song, minute 1:05 to be precise (same riff you're refering to I think?), was "Beyond the great vast forest"! Maybe "Wrath of the tyrant" and "Beyond blabla" are similar, I don't remember the former right now... or maybe I'm just very wrong :?

Woohoo!

That was fast. I got my limited edition in the mail this morning. I'm in Canada. Release here is still at least 15 days away. I, uhhh, don't want to wreck the shiny coaster or the flag. :? If the coaster was bigger, it could be a mousepad. Maybe the vinyl of Finntroll's next album could come with a Super XXL Beer Coaster aka. Mousepad.

that were my first thoughts too because i need a new mousepad. the size would be ok for me but unfortunately it doesn't work with an optical mouse - not even the back side.

Custom mousepads are cheap. I found some printhouse where they had an infinite coupon code that allowed you to get one custom mousepad for like $3.00 including shipping worldwide. Mine still looks pretty good after 2-3 years:
