Definitely. The lyrics to Forgotten sons are some of the best lyrics ever written, provoking many thoughts. The lyrics to Script for a jesters tear are also great. Then again, I'm not sure which adds to the bands effect more, the lyrics or the amazingly tasteful guitar solos.

I think lyrics are important, its a thing I always look out for with albums. Although I only speak english I like it when bands sing in their own language, I do read the lyrics as I wonder what words mean and what story is being told :) I find the words fascinating its just another part of the band which is of importance to me :D

On my Korpiklaani album Korven Kuningas the lyrics are in Finnish & English but I always read along to the Finnish ones as im interested in how the words are pronounced :D

Finntroll has some of the best lyrics of any band. The lyrics and song titles is what got me into Finntroll in the first place. Actually it was the usage of the word "Widunder" :) Great great lyrics! Is there a Finntroll translation project somewhere?

We used to have translations of most songs in the FAQ on the old board, but I wouldn't have a clue where to get them from now. My swedish is not sophisticated enough to give new translations, but maybe we can bribe someone swedish into making new ones... Maybe someone wicked? someone who rocks? ;)

Dark Lyrics has translations: http://www.darklyrics.com/f/finntroll.html ... But these are different than the ones we had (I think?) and I'm not sure how good they are ...

They're pretty bad. The lyrics on the old forum had a lot of flaws, too, but I think they were a bit better.

I think I have the old forum translations saved, actually. I looked for them when I posted that, I'm not sure what I found, just lyrics or translations. Where do you want them?
One beer to rule them all.
One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

Yes. Lyrics are very important. In all music, (which is why I have a hard time with a lot of mainstream)

When lyrics are in another language I find it exotic and mysterious, which is nice. I only speak english, too, but I've read some of the Finntroll lyrics online and I like the 'troll-ishness' of the meanings.
