I wouldnt download it, not cos i dont want to but cos im pretty oblivious to the world around me so i wouldnt notice if i could, chances are my friends will have to remind the albums comeing out and thats why i have that money hidden in a box so i dont spend it on anything else. that and if i download stuff, everyone else in my house will think their allowed and theyre all useless gits who enjoy getting viruses and makeing me spend hours infront of the computer fixing it.

Too bad you don't live in Florida anymore, that time we traded CDs it was fast and pretty cheap.

Is the album going to fit on just one LP, btw? Think I might just buy that one instead. Then I will download the album .flac files and burn a CD for my car because god damn it I bought the vinyl.

Yeah, too bad for shipping and cranberry juice; other than that, it is easier to find a job in the republic of bananas.

I "work" at a college radio station, so a lot of record companies send us promo albums. I'm just a peon and have no say in the matter of what we get in the mail, but Century has sent things in the past... 8-)

Guess with all the goody-two-shoes "I'm never downloading anything!!!"-posts dominating the topic, someone has to be the asshole of the forum, so might as well be me.

Yep, I answered the I'm downloading it the second its out. I'm a complete scrooge when it comes to buying cds anyways, since I don't have a job and live off of my student allowance, which leaves me 50 euros a month to spend on other things than bills and food. I can either buy 2 cds or buy other things that for me just are far more important for my daily life than the albums, plus if I am using money on music, I prefer buying shirts and going to shows rather than buying cds, as they IMO are far more "bang for the buck" so-to-speak. Just a fact of life, which I hope to change when I have more disposable income. And actually, for Nattfödd, Visors and UJD, I was on a strict no promos-diet, which was insanely hard especially for UJD since the promo was out over a month before the CD.

I wouldn't call myself one of the goody-two-shoes-I-never-download-anything-posters, but I wouldn't download the album either. If it was some other band and album, I might download it, but with Finntroll, never. I know there will be amazing artwork and everything and the music won't be the only thing you get when you buy the album.

Then there's the possibility of a vinyl record. If I can get it on vinyl, I will, and you can't download vinyl (well, of course the music is the same, but with vinyl records there's the lovely silent scratching and that's the thing you can't get when downloading). So there, I voted "never, I want the real deal." :D

Well, as some of you have said before I don't have all the money I want to buy every cd of every band I like, but with my favourite bands (like Finntroll) I save to buy the discography or at least cds I like the most.
In case of Finntroll, I usually have both original and downloaded cause the former finally scratched :x
Besides, in the rest of Europe the release date is a short time before that in Spain! That means you're gonna have it before me!

I'll be honest, I will download it as soon as it is available, I too, like many others, only can afford to buy the albums of my favorite bands. Being Finntroll is one of my favorite bands, I will also be buying the album as soon as it hits stores, but since I live in the US, I will be waiting a while, and everyone else will be listening to it. Because of that, I will download it first, but will buy it asap. That is what I did with Ur Jordens Djup as well. Most of the time when living in the US, albums are very hard to come buy, they usually have to be imported, which means lots of money. And of course I'll be supporting you guys on the US tour in Cleveland...

Hey, I might be going to the Cleveland show too! Haven't yet decided Philly or Cleveland; I'm kind of right in between both cities :P But I think a bunch of my Ohio friends are on board, so Cleveland is looking like the best choice...

I never download music, but I might actually make an exception for this one. The reason? Well the album is out 17.2 over here, and the gig is 18.2. Now how the hell am I supposed to learn every song by heart in just one day? So if I can find it before the 17th, I might not be able to resist.
