Wow, thats an aspect I got to think about.... At least I have a few days until Frankfurt Paganfest but still not enough.... :o (but this way the band can easily figure out who downloaded the songs - its the ones in the audience singing all the new lyrics... )

The worse thing that can happen to a band when people simply download their album is their fans loving it so much that they've memorized the lyrics even without booklets and web-pages with info and that these fans have paid the ticket to see these songs being performed live. ;)
I'm not sure about how bands feel about this, and I do understand the problems that downloading brings to the band (it has been discussed many times already), but wouldn't that feel just a bit good too?

Seriously, will the new album (all 3 possible editions) be available for purchase on the European tour in the spring since the tour starts after it's release date in Finland but before the release date in Germany? Many of us might get it faster like that.

It's nice sometimes to have the pure music alone with no other jacket art or printed lyrics. It allows you to interpret things for yourself at first... I'll probably download it asap. But then when the actual album comes out you can dig deeper into the universe of each track by purchasing the album with all of the other parts of the whole. This is especially cool with vinyl. With the advent of downloading music, cds and lps now have a new sort of collectors value, and that's just fine with me.

I just wanted o give my 20 cents on topic...

I do download a lot of music but i also delete a lot. And i am a dedicated CD collector. An album I like will be purchased. But every once in a while there is a band that i trust to such an extend that i don't even download or otherwise listen to their albums first, i just buy them straight away. Moonsorrow are such a band, Immortal of course and also Finntroll. I really can't wait to hear the new album, but like i did with the new Immortal, I will be patient and get the real deal the day it hits stores (which in Ireland will most likely be some time after easter, i guess). Downloading music is a good way to check if the album is any decent, but it's not complete without the artwork, cd, case, booklet. so for Nifelvind, it'll be an all or nothing thing for me. And i really want it all. Thanks for listening.

I assume the CD will be available for sale at the gig, you can just buy it then and sing the lyrics along right from the lyric sheet!

That's precisely what I'm gonna do :D

Usually I'm a swashbuckling pirate, downloading everything and anytime. But with Nifelvind I kind of want to make it special. So as far as "cheating" goes, I'll try to get it at Berlin's Paganfest a day earlier then in my trollless homeland.

Might look really weird to have the whole audience standing there reading while the guys are performing like hell but nobody notices with their heads down in the booklet

Well, I'll see what happend, have all the albums downloaded but just as I did with Chidren Of Bodom I want to buy them all when i get the chanse.

And specific about the upcoming album, I want to hear it so bad! Love Ur Bergets Rot aswell. So I'll try to keep my fingers out but ether way I will probably buy it when it's released ether way! =) Because a year ago, my favorite band was given, Children Of Bodom for sure. But Finntroll are so close behind, reallt admire you guys and hope you'll plan some dates for sweden now this spring for Nifelvind! My ticket is bought already if that's so.

Merry christmas! Even dough it's some christian nonsense ;) RIVFADER STÅ UPP!
