I liked Ghana very much defeating the serbs. Just called the tvnews, this guy is saying repeatedly that Slovakia beat Algeria.

And now, getting ready for Powerful Germany :)

We're used to this mistake. I was actually half expecting hearing the wrong anthem. It happened once. I wonder if Slovaks have the same problem.

One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all

But the Panini album is so helpful, a real fan of the sport should know the teams and the respective players.
I have completed the album since Mexico 86

Hearing the wrong anthem in a game, that sucks so much

I'm not into football at all, but a lot of beer and public viewings are a fantastic combo!

4:0!

@ Shamaniac: yes it was ssooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo eiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.... tbc.. and world championships with a good german team are always funny party nights.. (though tonight everyone disappeared and went to bed - except me..... )

Hoped for Slovenia today (because of slovenian trolls here :) ). Think the States did a really good job vs. England yesterday, Serbia vs. Ghana was a bit boring, I hoped Serbia would move a little more and of course I am veeeeeeeeeeery happy about our german guys. I expected a 2:0 but 4:0 was quite cool. Though I am a bit sorry for Australian players. :(

And OMG if I work in that business and I speak or write in public media like press, radio or TV, its my damn job to know what countries play the championship. Especially when a team won, I should at least know if its Slovenia or Slovakia. Takes only a minute of reading some information, or? Ouch! Its like Legacy magazines idiot interviewing Mathias and writing "Martin" all the time....  If I dont know know what/who I am talking about, I should avoid working for media.....

Good game for powerful Germany, hope they continue that way. I hate this fucking vuvuzela thing, hearing that buzz for 90 minutes is a bit boring, prefer to put the tv in mute and let the radio commentators do the speaking instead of hearing that sound.

Yeah thats really annoying. 4 weeks of that vuvuzela fucking noise and we're all ready for the funny farm... or go to Wacken and Summer Breeze for cure

@ UltraNinja: you did collecting stuff since 86???? May I ask how old you are ?? (Iknow a lady should not ask a gentleman 8-) )

You're totally right. I still remember when i translated that Finntroll interview in a german mag into english for Wilska to read. I did that because the woman who did the interview thought she was talking to Somnium. And they printed that! A YEAR AFTER SOMNIUMS DEATH!!!

Sorry for the off-topic again. I know I'm terrible that way

On Topic: Can anyone tell me when the next Germany game is on? I'm an outsider, but i like the World Championship so I need your help to find my way around...

I am a big fan of getting off topic :D

And yes, I can tell:
Germany : Serbia Friday, 18th June, 13.30
Germany : Ghana: Wednesday, 23rd June, 20.30
So please Mr. Shaman, please give some support :D .

I think its really fun. I was watching Greece against South Corea yesterday with a friend at a public location in Heidelberg. About 30 greek fans and 120 corean fans and though Greece was awful, the mood and the whole afternoon was friendly and a lot of fun (and noise, but thank god, corean fans had no vuvuzelas, they sang.... :D )
