TV-shows

Postby Ärväthyyll » Wed Aug 18, 2010 10:43 am

Couldn't find a topic on that when I wanted to rant about the 3rd season of True Blood.

Anyone else watches it? I loved the 1st season, liked the 2nd, but now 3rd is half through and still I have no feeling for it. It's so Twilightish (*vomits* and yes I know these books are actually older than Twilight) that I almost wait for the vampires to glitter in the sun. I mean Bill Freaking Compton isn't far from it anyway.
OK, but this season has those funny moments as well that just make it worth watching.
And I haven't read the books.

Another show I learned to love recently is The Big Bang Theory. And I usually don't like sitcoms. But I sure as hell love geeks! <3

Currently watching Season Two. I am usually not too found of sitcoms either, but that one's quite entertaining. Another show I really like is "How i met your mother". Been waiting for Season Six to appear on watchxonline.com for too long now...is it on TV yet, you americans?

AND i can't wait for the second half of South Park's Season 14, of course :D !
Still to this day
I can hear the whistle blow
I can smell the sage burn
I may be as old and stubborn as a pine
But I am just as wild as the young.

never watched true blood, seems kind of fruity.

don't have HBO, but once A Game of Thrones comes out, i'm ordering that shit. me and my wife are big fans.

i just finished Sons of Anarchy season 1, and it was pretty good, someone called it the new Sopranos though, and that's pretty far fetched.

still pissed off about the cliffhanger for Breaking Bad though lol
best show ever

My bf's hooked on Sons of Anarchy and the Bing Bang Theory, but I've never watched both of them.
So far, my favourite tv-shows are Family Guy, South Park and the Mentalist.

I'm only watching True Blood as far as TV shows go right now, it's goofy and has a lot of arses.

Before that I watched Breaking Bad and I, too, am pissed about the cliffhanger.

I used to watch a lot of animes as a teenager, but I haven't done that for a few years now. I've probably watched all the good ones already, and I just heard Satoshi Kon died so man why even bother that dude was the best in the industry

I'm a fan of a stand-up comedian Eddie Izzard and I've seen many of his shows (available on YouTube), but now I watched something different of him - in spite being 48 years old and far from an athlete, he ran 43 marathons in 51 days for charity. That was bloody awesome.
The show is called The Marathon Man, it came out this year. I hate the narrator with his "if he makes only one mistake, his body/project/goal will fail" because he repeats that every 2 minutes and although it's true, it comes out like they're trying to build tension. But other than that, I gained an enormous respect for Izzard while watching this. He tops my everything ATM.
