Bottom line is where I live, middle line is the most northern city I've been to, top line is the village:

North of northern north north north...very black metal! Sverige is also still on my must-visit list (as ye know, Bullerbü-Syndrom and all). Unfortunately I had to take a break from swedish lessons due to work and all. But I'll try and study a bit more for myself - and I'll be there one day for sure. Have fun up there!

Sadly I'm not going through England, Wales and Scotland now.

BUT

Both mr. Aldhissla and myself will be in London in mid-May, so if anyone's from there or around or just happens to be there, make yourselves known for a beer or three! Or tea at five if it suits you more

Oh, and don't forget to bring your own active coal and some filters for coffee brewing. You never know what moonshine from that far out on the countryside will taste like. But of course that might be some of the beauty of it.

Oh, most Swedes are permanently brain damaged from the start.

And I think people in some remote parts of the country have developed some resistance against improperly fermented stuff. The moonshine my father makes has tiny flakes of coal in it and it is famous for it's strong taste of fusel. Lots of people in the village I grew up in have stopped bother with the distilling at all, and just drink the mash though. It is totally discusting, and one of the biggest reasons for me to get the hell out of that place as soon as I'd finished high school.

Maaan, I didn't go to the village after all. Turns out my mother turned 60 (oops), so I went to our summer cabin instead. I took some cool pictures there, at least.
My friend thinks we'll probably go there during summer, though. His cousin says that the bar they have in that village is the only legal bar he's been to in Sweden where they actually serve alcohol after 02.00. They just keep serving until everyone has left.
As he was drinking at this bar, he looked out.. saw a deer run by.

Drinking mash, fuuuck! That's something I did ONCE when I was 16, never again! Feels like someone is letting some old bread dough settle for two days in your mouth.
The moonshine I made last year was quite alright, but it's a bit cumbersome to make without a balcony or a garage.

Oh, that's the best description of drinking that stuff ever. Yuck!

So I'm guessing that it isn't safe to eat any fish there?
