What ? I missed something then :(

Cameleons are very sad in captivity, not a good idea to get another one anyways ;)
But Fenrir looked very green, I read it's rather rare for home-cameleons (stress).

I got more pics of my crazy cat, just have to find them ^-

Great looking dogs. Sorry about the loss...years late.

Definitely a dog person, but I can't have a dog right now. I am not sure where I will be living after I graduate in May so I don't want to move a puppy around too much, especially if I get a job outside of the US. Really sucks because I want my own Roman Wardog. :D

I want a dog too eventually, I have some favorite breeds but not sure if this is a good environment for those. But then again I'd be fine with some mixture of many breeds through generations as well. I'd just like something big with lots of hair :D
I could have a cat as well, some I've met are pretty great, but I'm more of a dog person.

Do you people have dogs/cats inside or outside? Do you let them sleep on the couch or in beds? Or in case of cats, do they climb kitchen counters and dining table and such?
One beer to rule them all.
One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

Thank you Fenrir. :)

Our dogs sleep with us and we do let them on to the furniture with us, but we do have commands for them if we want them to get off. Lumi is a bit of a horror for food left on the kitchen counter, so we have to make sure no food is left out and as she is a big dog she can reach stuff really easily. :)

i recommend you a mixed one, they are much more resistant than purebreds.

^^ I agree cross breed dogs are resilient, Tab is a cross and is as tough as old boots! :D However call me biased ;) but Retrievers are very good natured and easy to train. And cuddly and like a dish of soft white lumps

Nice video Zwerg.

Concerning breeds, I do have a few favorites but I am open to most dogs. I prefer a larger dog because I want one capable of guarding the house and one that I can wrestle with. I would also like to get a rescue from one of the local shelters because it hurts seeing so many abandoned dogs.

Difference between pure-bred and mongrel dogs by Eddie Izzard: I can't find the video with just that so here's the whole stand-up -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIE0FJUBRoI - the thing I'm talking about is between 1:27:48 and 1:28:32.

Strange we talk about mixed dogs just now because something happened today - my cousin has this great and very smart mongrel dog. She lives in a huge garden and is allowed in the house but she barks her lungs out every time she's home alone. Apparently their neighbour, drunk as fuck, called my sister (name and surname confusion) three times today threatening he'll kill the dog if she keeps barking.
Trouble is that when my cousin's old dog died a couple of months ago, they were sure this neighbour poisoned her. So they fear these aren't just empty drunken threats. :|

Mixed breeds are indeed more resistant, but most of the mixed breed dogs I know have been really dumb. I'm probably going to get attacked for that comment, but this is all in my experiences with other people's dogs.
