Well, if that's an option and those are actually safe to use at night, then you're right: lame excuses. I know for a fact that it's different at other places tho and people really are screwed if there's no driver or they don't want to spend a fortune on cabs.

There was no need to worry, everybody managed to get home. Only my Elvis imitator fellow worker had problems, but that was because some bastard put whiskey into his coke and as he usually doesn't drink and he is about 32 kg it knocked him out. We rang his parents and they drove him home.

Good: The party on Friday was pretty good. They took us to a restaurant. It was a very nice place except for the fact that they ran out of pálinka in 30 minutes. They should have had much more pálinka in stock or maybe they didn't know that a troll was also coming? The food was cool and I could meet my former co-worker.

Poor guy...but seriously, an Elvis-Imitator weighing 32 kilos? Where did it all go wrong? ;)

Bad: I ripped my backpack into a thousand pieces since the zip broke for good and it made me pretty angry. How am I going to carry all my stuff around now?
Still to this day
I can hear the whistle blow
I can smell the sage burn
I may be as old and stubborn as a pine
But I am just as wild as the young.

Good: Got the final paperwork that I survived a huge audit at work.
Bad: Have had a headache for three days.

Not sure yet: Decided to sign up for one of those Concordia language village things to learn Finnish for a week this May to escape my life for a week. Pretty much any other language they have would be more useful to my daily life, but I figure if it's as hard as they claim, I won't feel too much like a moron when I just stand there declaring "DURRR!" since I won't be the only one. I have no idea how the hell I am supposed to get to this place from the airport. It looks like it is in the middle of Bum Fuck Egypt, Minnesota.

He imitates the young Elvis, he has the same cloths and the same hair-do, but, yeah, he is ridiculously short and thin, so he rather looks like an 8 years old Elvis. Anyway I appreciate that he dares to be different.

Good: Day off.

Good: I bought a cool new eyebrow bar
Bad: me, the husband and a mate went on a 'road trip' to collect a tent and to visit Leeds Armouries; got the tent, never made it to LA (how the fuck does it take 8 hours to get from Newcastle to Leeds ?!), and the husband kept having to stop and be sick*, in the middle of a fucking high street.....and it pissed it down and was fucking freezing. Wasted day....

*only thing that saved that at all was trying to imagine what the passers-by thought of a sporty silver Mazda pulling up to let what looks like a homeless Viking bum out to puke all over the pavement.....

Ooh! Let us know how it goes. I did a 3 week intensive in Finland that was FANTASTIC, but I'll never get the money together to go back again. My class here moves soooooo slooooooooowly. I'm looking for something in between.

Good: Snow is gone! Seattle un-paralyzed.

Good: F1 news are beginning to come. Can't wait the first race.
Good: This winter isn't winter, but I don't mind. I like mild and sunny weather.
