Good to know, for I shall not leave your side if I ever come around to visit. I need someone to order all that delicious-looking food and the Schnaps ;)
Bad: A sort-of cold is doing the good ol' in-and-out-game with me. Decide already, ffs...this is really annoying.
Bad: The board is on a downhill-road once again, at least what presence and activities of many (long-term) members are concerned. :(
Good: It's almost payday.
Still to this day
I can hear the whistle blow
I can smell the sage burn
I may be as old and stubborn as a pine
But I am just as wild as the young.

I wonder what the percentage on foreign languages is here.

I am fighting the same thing. It's not a cold yet, just a bit of a sore throat now and then, a bit of a runny nose twice a day, a cough every once in a while.

Yea. I am less present than I should have been too.

Bad: I haven't slept much. For some reason I couldn't fall asleep until 4 am.
Good: I am apparently still good at my field of expertise. It doesn't mean I'll get a job, but that's nice to hear every once in a while.

One whiskey to find them.
One vodka to bring them all
and in the drunkness bind them!

@Aldhissla: I think the situation is not as bad in Budapest, but you can count on me of course. I don't know too much about restaurants because I prefer eating sausages and lángos and other garbage in little snack-bars, but I'm pretty skilled in ordering drinks.
@Ärväthyyll: As far as I know you have the best foreign language skills in the EU.

Bad: My uncle called about an hour ago, informing me that my grandfather is in the hospital. He's in a very bad shape and may not recover. I just organised a ride home for tomorrow morning and will be going straight to the hospital from there.

@ Aldhissla - Best wishes to your grandfather! I hope he gets better, and that ASAP. Not all bad predictions come true, so this one won't either!

We are? Good! ;) I'd think young people can handle English pretty OK, but you'll still have people on jobs in public places that cannot speak English. But what do I know, I don't really use English publicly much.

Bad: I had a night of nightmares.
Bad: I have a cold.
Good: Busy weekend ahead of me, several birthdays to celebrate.
Bad: All boxes in the post office are of inappropriate size for what I want to send out.

Good: simple and relaxing day. Bought a birthday present for my brother, plus some music for myself of itunes.
Good: My German is coming along nicely
Bad: had to go out and take a blood test, was supposed to but my mother put my social health card somewhere where I can't find it. I rather had it over with today, then wait a few days to try again.

Thank you all. His condition is and remains critical, but he was able to talk a bit and even made a few jokes, old fighter that he is. We'll have to wait and see if and to what extend he can recover, but at least not all hope is gone yet.

Bad: I didn't get that job (I wrote the above statement when I was told that I easily passed the first test they gave us, which was the thing we were supposed to do later in the job). There could be a million reasons (could be that I screwed up in the 2nd round; or just wasn't by the manager's liking; or didn't look OK visually; or somebody was clearly better at everything), but I am genuinely sad about it. But since I didn't get it, I can also write one thing that bothered me since the job interview: they asked questions that are forbidden by law for them to ask (such as do I have children and how old they are), and I even had to sign I am telling the truth.
Bad: I am really REALLY sad. And it is very rare, especially now, that the jobs of my field even open. But in case of this job, I was sincerely interested in it, not just in a "I need money" way. I wonder when an opportunity like this will come again - this was the first one in 2 years.
Bad: I wish to go to a book presentation of my ex-professor and diploma mentor, who is a great guy, but nobody can go with me. I probably won't go alone.
