Tove Jansson Comet in Moominland, A really good tale I like how Tove Jansson writes with great wit and humour. Lots of adventure in many places I like all the geographical descriptions, it conjures up something vivid to me really good!!! :D

I'm reading Karl May: The Inca's Legacy. Yeah, I know it's a book for young readers, but I forgot to read it when I was a boy, so what the hell.

Finished the "Our ancestors" trilogy by Italo Calvino. Awesome stuff! One of those books you wouldn't really come across these days (unless you're italian, I guess)!

Now, a re-reading of "The Hobbit" it is! It's been too long and I want to.

Now, Hobbit finished. I weeped because of Kili's and Fili's death, like I did all those years ago.

A friend who had just bought Game of Thrones and then got four volumes of the A song of ice and fire saga for birthday. So I bought Game of Thrones from her and will read it now. This better be good, after all the babbling that has been going on about it. ;)

Just finished the 5th book, 'A Dance With Dragons.' It is well worth it, trust me. Watched the first season and then commenced to read those books quickly. Damn great story and still two more volumes, provided George doesn't die before he finishes. You might as well go ahead and buy the 5th book, because after the 4th you will be in killer suspense mode to find out about certain characters that were completely left out of the whole book. It was hell to read, but it all comes back together in book 5.

When I first read The Hobbit many years ago, I didn't make any emotional connections to the dwarf characters in the book. But when I re-read it not so long ago, I gave more thought to the dwarves and started loving Fili, Kili and Bombur. So the death of the brothers bummed me down completely too.

And I agree with Fenrir on The Song of Ice and Fire. It is actually hard for some people to go through book 4 with half the story missing, but hang on in there! Great series.

I am reading Tolkien's On Fairy-Stories. It's not fiction, more of a book about how to write fairy stories and why. Great essay, I agree with him on so many levels when it comes to theory behind literature. He was indeed a great man.
