Good & Bad about today

Bad: Big chance for my band to perform for the very first time on the 7th of july - and OF COURSE our drummer can't make it. We are cursed with eternal drummer-issues, it seems. The first one couldn't count to four; then it took forever to find a new one/ melt two bands into one, and now this one is gonna leave Leipzig (and thus us) for good in August/September and has a fucked-up schedule which will result in us standing there without a drummer AGAIN before we even managed to pull off ONE FUCKING GIG! ARRRGHHHH! I'm trying to get a spontaneous replacement atm, but things don't look good.

GOOD: Have made a lot of progress, on digging foundations for our next outbuilding. It is pretty hard going as our house is built next to a disused quarry, so it does not take long before I hit solid rock, but it is rewarding chundering through rock
Also found a coin from the reign of Queen Victoria 1899
BAD: Tired from all the digging
GOOD/BAD have found out the problem of the glitches and gremlins with my computer, and why my microphone is not working, it says I need an update of windows, however I am confused as it mentions about purchase in the agreement. And I am poorer than a disabled banana.

@Aldhissla: I told you, if you find me a job in Leipzig I will come there and play. I'll even skip the trip to Thailand, provided the job earns me enough for a place to live and funds for the drums. By the way, thinking of coming there next weekend, 22 June - 24 June. Send me a message on facebook concerning the cheapo travel plans you mentioned. My cousin will be coming from Dortmund this weekend so I can't make it then.

Good: My time in Germany has been great so far
Good: Explored some ancestral ground today, Burgsteinfurt, DE
Good: Food has been great
Bad: Have not enjoyed the variety of beer I expected. I will go to the store tomorrow and browse the goods.

Message sent. And why do I have to find you a job, Freundchen? This lazy-assed mentality won't get you anywhere in the Vaterland, my friend. But there ARE (teaching) jobs here, I am pretty sure about that. Nevertheless, this is the east, so you might have to save up for a while if you wanna buy a drumkit.

Good: Finally did some voice recording yesterday.
Bad: Some of it was good, but a lot of it actually sucked! Neither me nor my bandmate had an idea of how hard it is to record them damn vocals...it's way easier to just go along with the band in the rehersal room. Well, it's a learning process...we'll get better. Some movement in the damned drummer issue as well - we'll have two/three guys coming to hear us play next week. If one of them finds it possible to learn all that stuff within three week's time, we might get our very first gig after all.

Good: The weather is not so good, but I am in Germany so I cannot complain
Good: Going into town for a little while and will search for gutes BIER!!!
Good: Thanks to my good friend above there are rides available to Leipzig. Time to throw down in Ossis. FUCKING TOLL!!!

Bad: It seems as though all of the rides are full to Leipzig. I am not giving up the search though.
Bad: Endless rain. It seems like London here, grey and raining.

Great: The day just got better. Confirmed the ride to Leipzig. VICTORY!!!

Hell yeah. And guess what: I just found out that the Leipzig beer fair is on during that weekend. I'd almost say your win never won so much.
Good: Finally managed to repot all my big plants (Yucca, ponytail palm, dracanea).
Bad: That work sure did suck - again. Next time I'll hire Megrimmtroll to do it.

Good, Great, Amazing: Kalkriesse/Hermannsdenkmal, Haltern, Cologne, Dortmund, concert and beerfest in Leipzig, all next week. CAN LIFE GET ANY BETTER!?! Germany must win tonight, the fates demand it!!!
Bad: Nothing any more, EVER!!! Life is too fucking good right now. I need to find a woman and make sweet love to her, dann alles gut!!!

Good: Album 1 is up in the travel thread; Burgsteinfurt, DE, where my German ancestors are from. Very close to Muenster. Muenster album soon, though it is constantly being updated.
