Katla AND Wilska. They have a more meaner, more trollish voice, than Vreth does.

Maxwell Von Karma mentioned The Vocals sounding like Gollum, so are the vocals of Katla and Wilska more raspy and gravel like? than a full on guttural growl

I love all of them, but I got to admit that I am a sucker for 'black metal' vocals

I think somehow each of them fittet the album and music they did. Bute as Nightwind said, I also prefer the more dark and black direction they turn to (and what is to hear in that deer video I had to see a thousand times today ) and Vreths voice and style fits it PERFECTLY. ........

Most of my thought have already been expressed by several people here so I'll make it short: I love Katla's "trolllish" sound, but I think Vreth suits the "new" style perfectly and in general I really like that kind of vocals anyway.

With a new vocalist in the band, how much influence does this have on the music? I mean does the bands style vary with the three different vocalists Finntroll have had. To give an example when Paul Dianno sang with Iron Maiden it gave the band a punkier edge, and when Bruce joined the sound was more metal. are there different musical aspects over time with regard to each singer in the band?

I'd say Vreth gives the music a darker sound, although the songwriting (and production ?) also create this effect. Just listen to Ur Djupet or Nedgång.

I really can't pick a favorite, but I'd say that Katla and Wilska had a more "trollish" sound to their voices, which I think went better with their theme. However, I think Vreth's death metal-type vocals work really well with the direction their music is going in nowadays; it's more energetic and, like Maxwell said, overall heavier.

I think it's great that Katla's writing the lyrics again - after all, he formed the band, so it's nice he still plays a part in it

anyhow's I love Vreth's voice the best of all, in my opinion it's darker and more to a blackish approach, wich fits the folkish
Hummpa Black metal style perfectly.

One thing I was surprised to hear after I first heard Nattfodd, was the vocal style for the songs Den Sista Runans Dans and Svart Djup
I just love the clean folk edge
