Mine came in the mail last week (from CM Distro), so I'm assuming it's been released here!

I don't think my CD collection likes Nifelvind, because it's taking up all my listening time.

This is what I get when I have looked:

From Amazon.ca
This title will be released on March 30, 2010.

From HMV.ca
Date of release: 30/03/2010

From Metal From Finland:
"Nifelvind" will be released in North America on March 9 via Century Media Records.

A few days ago, every place I checked had the release date as March 9th, so obviously something has happened in the meantime. I went into an HMV location today, and they had a CD case sitting on the shelf saying Nifelvind was available on March 9th, but when I inquired, I got the same answer as what the HMV website gave me.
Perhaps I'm impatient, but I hate waiting longer than anticipated for albums.

Weird. It's definitely out in the U.S. so I'm not sure why it wouldn't be in Canada. Amazon.com and CMDistro both have it in stock - would it cost too much to order from the U.S. if the Canadian sites don't have it available yet? :? I personally like CMDistro for CDs if they have them available, and shipping to Canada costs only $1USD more than shipping it domestic - http://www.cmdistro.com/Search/nifelvind

Good luck with that! Yeah, waiting till March 30 would really suck; at that point it will have been out for over a month since it was first released in Finland D:

Just picked up my copy of Nifelvind from a local CD store. They actually had two copies of it, which was surprising. The album is great! It has really gone above my expectations! So, good job Finntroll!

I would probably just order if from the states except for the fact that I'm a little strapped for cash right now. Actually, probably more so than that is the fact that everything ordered from the states seems to go through customs and get massively delayed, so it would probably be the end of the month before I got it anyways.
I just find it strange that it's available in the States but not Canada right now. Must be something to do with the record label? I really have no idea.

I'm not surprised by that, considering I now need a passport if I want to even drive up there.

Or the store's just being weird; which can happen occasionally. It sucks, but hey, you eventually get it. :)

True enough.
Waiting a few weeks shouldn't really matter, as long as I get my hands on it eventually, right? :D

Yep, so long as you don't ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD it. :o

I have the limited edition on the way, not sure where to put the poster: in my instruments room, or the wall right above my computer...

I love it. I'm actually not a big fan of the folk metal genre because of cookie-monster vocals like Vreth's, but in this case I enjoy it. Don't care if it's too different from previous albums, or too much like anyone else's, or the words are pronounced wrong, or this-that-andtheother - all I know is it's a damn good album and consistently good all the way through which is something I struggle to find.
Catchy riffs, oddly melodioc vocals, depth...all in all a wonderfully multi-faceted album and I for one will be listening for a long time !
Solsagan's my favourite, and I think my fiance's just been converted into a Finntroll fan !
Now. When are you guys coming to the UK ?
