All I have are a couple dictionaries, which have enough structure information I'm set...at least for now. ;)

Maybe you're just a super noob and did something wrong. I'll get back with the results for my installation later today.

Rosetta Stone gives you like a 3 month trial of their shit. You can learn the language super fast and return it for no cost....

.... that is, if you CARE

So brainwashed by pirate culture we didn't even bother to check for a free trial. God damn it.

I got it to work, anyway. Only tried German Version 3 Level 1 so far, I'll start using it during Easter vacation. I hope this software is good. I've looked around and I can only find German courses at grade schools in this town, I don't think they'd let me in there.

Edit: Oh and I'd need to get a mic, didn't think about that lol. I'll pester the band vocalist about it, he probably has like a dozen just lying around.

Free 3 month trial O_o

Damn!

I can't find it. I see a 6 month money back guarantee but no trail.

I think i'm blind.

My bad. That's it, the 6 month money back guarantee. Even longer than 3 months. Boom, problem solved.

It's not like they can prove you learned anything

One day you'll get a call from some unknown number, someone says something in whatever language, you respond in that language.

Rosetta Stone support: I KNEW IT! You lose!

Gonna happen, swear to god.

I'd be afraid to ever speak in a foreign language ever again.

It's like after you commit a crime and the day after you think all the cops are after you haha. or maybe I'm just paranoid.

From my experience, being American and all, people seem to be happy that you at least tried to learn another language. In my opinion, if you take the time to learn the proper greetings, please, thank you, etc. that makes you look good. If anything you made an effort and that earns you a bit of respect.
